“Challenges of Growth in Moore County”


Followed by special private tour of the new courthouse by the staff of
the Clerk of Court


Lunch is not included in this event, but you are encouraged to join with
other League members to enjoy lunch at some of the interesting
restaurants in the Carthage area. (Buggy Factory, The Soup Company, Time Out Sports Grill, Pik N Pig, Buggy Town Coffee, Wok N Roll Express, Chuck Wagon Restaurant, etc)

There is no fee for this event, but members and their guests must register so that the Clerk’s office can arrange for the small group tours. 

Speaker: Wayne Vest is a Moore County native
with over 30 years of management experience.
He has been employed in Moore County
Government since 1998. He has served at the
pleasure of the Board of Commissioners in the
role of Tax Administrator for Moore County from
2006 to 2013 and as County Manager since
2013.

NOTE: We will meet in the Courtroom located on the second floor of the old courthouse. Parking is available just off the circle on the side of the courthouse where you enter the building. As you enter, you will pass through security and proceed to the second floor via stairway or elevator.
Please try to arrive in time to allow for parking and security check. Mr. Vest will begin promptly at 10:30.

This is an exciting Civic Education event that has been 2 years in the
planning. We hope you will take advantage of this opportunity to
learn about our local government and the challenges we face!!
