The Civic Leader Scholarship was established to encourage active participation of youth in the American political process and in service to their community, both now and in the future. Scholarships are awarded annually at Inspired Women – Inspiring Women luncheon which is the primary fundraiser of the League. The members of the Scholarship Committee review the applications and interview the finalists. The students are assessed on elements of leadership (initiative, responsibility, resiliency, honesty, creativity, and enthusiasm). Applicants should exhibit good communication, problem-solving skills, be active in both school and community, while also doing well academically.
